Empowerment Through Community
Pulmonary hypertension can be an isolating journey due to its rarity, but you don’t have to face it alone. Pulmonary Hypertension India (PHI)’s support group, the Indian PHight Club, connects you with others who intimately understand the daily challenges of living with this condition. Sharing experiences and emotions with a community that truly gets it can combat feelings of isolation and loneliness, fostering a more positive outlook. The Indian PHight Club provides a safe haven to openly share frustrations, fears, and successes with people who genuinely understand what you’re going through. This emotional support network can be invaluable in navigating the ups and downs of your PH journey.
Our patients come from diverse parts of India and all walks of life. We support each other in our own culturally and geographically unique ways. For example, sharing information on where to find medication during travel or vacation, or recommending good places to stay near a hospital. We also engage in open discussions about our shared experiences, creating a sense of community and understanding.
But our community offers more than just connection; it’s a wellspring of information. We often feature discussions, presentations, or guest speakers who share valuable insights on PH management, treatment options, and coping strategies. Learning from those who are successfully managing PH can be incredibly empowering and inspiring.
We empower patients with practical tips and a strong sense of community to help them manage their condition more effectively and improve their overall quality of life.

Support Group Testimonials
Joining the PHI support group has been such a positive experience for me! I’ve learned so much about what foods are best for managing PH symptoms and have even made some great new friends who understand what I’m going through. It’s been eye-opening to hear how others cope with this challenging disease. I’ve also taken the opportunity to broaden my knowledge about my condition.
– Mahalakshmi Iyengar, 33
I can’t even begin to express how much the PHI support group has helped me! Before joining, I didn’t know much about this rare disease, but now I realize that there are so many people out there going through the same thing. Hearing about other people’s experiences puts my mind at ease.
– Mahesh Lalwani, 25
Doctors can be limited on time and may not always offer a complete perspective. Their main focus is often on treating immediate symptoms. However, being part of a support group has opened up more options for me and helped me understand the different effects of my condition. It’s great to have a community that can provide insight into any new symptoms I may experience in the future.
– Sonal Karve, 29
